Saxilby is a large village in the West Lindsey district of Lincolnshire and is just six miles from Lincoln via the A57. The village’s location makes it an ideal transport hub for connections to numerous bus and rail routes which operate through and from the village enabling onward travel to Gainsborough, Lincoln, Scunthorpe, Doncaster, and many more places.

The village of Saxilby appears in the Domesday Book and lies on the north bank of the Roman Fossdyke Navigation; Roman remains have and continue to be discovered in the village. The community is well served with two doctors’ surgeries, shops and schools.
